Let's Talk Classic Rock

If you grew up in a household similar to mine, music was always a central topic of conversation. We would be driving with music blasting and at the beginning of each song my parents would quiz us on who the artist playing was. However this music was not the radio top 100- my parents exclusively played the classic rock music they grew up on.
From a young age I knew who Fleetwood Mac was, every album The Beatles had ever come out with, and each member of The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and the Eagles. My dad would let me go through his CDs to pick one for whichever long car ride we were taking that day and he would tell me stories of times he remembered hanging out with his friends and listening to those artists.
There was something so magical about the music that these artists came out with. The lyrics had a special way of telling emotional stories while simultaneously making you want to dance around your kitchen at 2 AM. It was a strange, chaotic, wonderful feeling and today, 20 something years later, I still feel the same way when I listen to those songs.
Not sure where to start with classic rock? From Creedence Clearwater Revival to The Doors, AC/DC to Pink Floyd I’ve got you covered. Here are some of my favorites:
You Shook Me All Night Long – AC/DC
Fortunate Son – Creedence Clearwater Revival
Sympathy for the Devil – The Rolling Stones
The Wind Cries Mary- The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Old Time Rock & Roll – Bob Seger
Wish You Were Here – Pink Floyd
