After experiencing a painful heartbreak, RAYE had shared that the song itself is a husband application. She was sick and tired of being single and not being appreciated for the woman she is and what she has to offer. She wants someone who able to handle all of who she is.
“Love of My Life” is a pop and electric dance song with an uplifting romantic melody. A love letter foretelling all the emotions we might feel when we start falling for someone. “I can be intense, I can be a little obsessed/But I can bet you never think a nightmare/Will ever look better in a dress.” Letting the other individual know that we all have our flaws and issues we are working through but at the end of the day, they can be the love of your life.
The song break downs into a funky 80’s inspired beat through the chorus and RAYE’s mighty vocals soar through the rest of this song making you dance your feelings away.
