We all have our favorite artists. We listen to their music on repeat, fall in love with all of the songs they put out…but consider this- some of the best hidden gems outside of our usual go to songs are hidden within “New In…” playlists. These playlists are rounded up by Apple Music to showcase some of the best new music trending in the genre displayed in the title. Let’s take a look at the “New In Indie” Playlist.

“Hurt” by Arlo Park – In this easy-going tune, Arlo Park gives listeners a painfully honest and emotionally raw song with lyrics such as “Yeah wouldn’t it be lovely to worth something, huh? I know you can’t let go of anything at the moment. Just know it won’t hurt so much forever.”

“Stairwell Song” by Bright Eyes – Uniquely their own, Bright Eyes released this magical sounding sound that taps into feelings of regret in a relationship. “In the end, couldn’t tell what you pretended. Always wild with your sly renegade smile. Perfectly disheveled style. What a waste. I regret it to this day.”

“Baby It’s You” by London Grammar – If you like Florence and the Machine, you will love London Grammar. The song “Baby It’s You” is a mix between upbeat melodies and soothing vocals. “All these painted faces singing back to me. There’s an ocean here but you are all I see and nothing else matters. You, baby, it’s you.”

“Easy” by Hannah Georges – A refreshing sound with beautiful lyrics, Hannah Georges released “Easy” which encapsulates the feeling of losing emotions towards someone you once had a relationship with but could never make work. “Memories of you slowly fade. Losing sight of you more everyday. Don’t want to feel it when I hear your name. I thought I had a million things to say. I woke up and can’t think of a thing.”
